Trace Santos-Barber
May 6, 1991 - February 6, 2006 Trace was a freshman at Peoples Academy, a member of the Class of 2009.
Trace was an active member of the Vermont Zen Center in Burlington, a Zen Buddhist Sangha. Tace was a member of the PA cross-country ski team and a member of the PA cross-country running team. He played for the Lamoille Union lacrosse team in the spring of 2005 and he planned to participate in the spring as well. Trace also played for Morrisville baseball and soccer teams. Trace loved recreational skiing and mountain biking. Trace most recently began to lean to telemark ski. Trace played the bass guitar, bass horn and drums with the PA band. Trace’s interest in music began in elementary school when he learned to place the saxaphone. Trace was known for his sense of humor and practical jokes. He had a keen eye for the comedy that could be found in irony. |
Chris Ludington
December 20, 1953 - June 16, 2011 Chris Ludington, a devoted and doting husband, a loving, supportive and inspirational father, and an extraordinary friend, passed away on June 16th, 2011, four days after the Remembrance Run.
Chris was an avid outdoor sportsman who excelled in running, cross-country skiing, hiking and biking. Nothing was more important to him than his family, Sue, Tyler and Johannah, who loved to participate in these activities with him. Chris cherished the Green Mountains of Vermont, the sandy beaches of Rhode Island and the trails of his children’s cross country races. He as a true nature and animal lover who spent many an early morning running with his beloved dog and many a late evening savoring a red sunset sky. Known for his quick wit, keen sense of humor and kind words, Chris is missed by all. Chris played an integral part of the Remembrance Run since its inception. In his honor, the youth mile has been renamed the “Ludington Mile.” |
Sigrid Bronner
July 4, 1989 - February 6, 2006 Sigrid was a Junior at Peoples Academy, a member of the Class of 2007.
Sigrid was a member of the First Congregational Church. Sigrid was a member of the PA cross-country ski team, cross-country running team and the track and field team. All were state championship teams. Sigrid was very involved in the PA Drama Club and the Lamoille County Players. Sigrid was a member of the PA Chorus and the Select Chorus. She was an All-State soloist as a freshman and received a scholarship for All-State vocalist this year. Sigrid attended the Boston Conservatory and Westminster College summer solo-vocal camp programs. Sigrid could be heard singing in the halls, classrooms, on the bus, and in the car. She loved to sing and wanted to be an opera singer. |
